My Head is an Animal was released in April 2012. My head is an Animal, the band’s debut album, has reached the number one position in the charts in several countries across the world including Australia, Iceland, and Ireland. “Little Talks,” a single off the album, reached number one in the music charts of Ireland and Iceland and United States Alternative Songs chart.

Of Monsters and Men is a winner of the 2013 European Border Breakers Awards.(Of Monsters and Men). Of Monsters and Men are currently touring in North America to sold-out audiences.

Of Monsters and Men is a six-piece band from Iceland. The band has been together since 2010. The names of the lead singers are Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, Ragnar þórhallsson. The names of the band members are Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, Brynjar Leifsson, Ragnar þórhallsson, Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, Kristján Páll Kristjánsson, Árni Guðjónsson

The band won Músiktilrauni, a battle of the bands competition in Iceland in 2010. This earned them a spot in the Iceland Airwaves Festival. While performing there, they performed a Living Room session that was picked up and played in a radio station in Seattle, thus moving them into the North American music scene (Bios).
